• Client based in Japan, with an English Language and Study abroad start up: Logo re-design.

  • Create a logo re-design that aligns with the client’s company values, mission, and services.

Targeting Japanese students of all ages and demographics that are seeking to learn English in an accessible and inclusive model.

  • Students of all ages who are looking to learn the English language in an inclusive and affordable setting, through virtual online conversation based lessons.

  • First I Identified and researched online language schools, along with virtual language education platforms, to get a grasp of the brand competitors in the market. I then analyzed the current brand identity of the company by understanding the business’s values, about statement, and mission. After this initial research I went over the previous logo to see how I could better represent the business intentions through a new design.

  • To gain inspiration I looked at the current website and found images of text books with the same color used in the previous logo, and decided to incorporate a book element into the shape and base of the design. I then chose to use the initials of the company ‘a’ and ‘c’ inside of the “book” to be seen as negative space. This created an artistic appeal by forming abstract shapes with a natural flow, to go along with the meaning of ‘atelier’.
