Provide a space and supplies for customers to do art in a self exploration way. Customers purchase tickets for designated time slots to access the studio and pre- planned art materials. A resident artist will be on location to monitor safety and provide expertise for customers. Special “events” will take place weekly and monthly where customers will receive specialized materials for unique art experiences such as making their own ceramics, painting with glow in the dark materials, or attending an emotional expression meditation seminar.

I first had detailed conversations with my client to understand the aesthetics behind their company’s intentions. They were able to explain overall style, being a modern Cottage Core; clean and minimalist feel with natural woods, plants, and open air and “Vegan Art Studio” space, I began to research cultural art institutions/organizations to identify brand competitors. I found this to be a unique company outlook, especially within China, so I combined both art organizations and night life bar/clubs branding ideas.

The final logo design resembles a modern, playful, casual, artistic sense and typographic play across cultural languages. The logo has a symbol that can be used along side the typography or alone, allowing for a diversity in use. The design is intended to reflect an environment where socialization and art come together in a formal, yet inclusive space.

After the logo was established I created a brand identity system, of which I designed a website landing page that would help expand my client’s business. This is a brand guidelines book that can be referred to during all design expansions.
